Our ballrooms are the former law library and probate courtroom. The former law library has seen a few restorations over the years, most recently in 2007. We are so excited to finally begin restoration on the old probate courtroom at the end of this year.
Tonight and tomorrow the tower lights will shine red white and blue for General Election Day on Tuesday November 6th. Taking this opportunity to re share one of our favorites- đź“·Alex Morgan Imaging

Happy half birthday Vanderburgh County! The tower lights will shine “birthday bash” colors this weekend to mark the half way point of the county’s 200th year.
We’re celebrating our Nation’s Independence Day with red, white and blue tower lights tonight through Friday!

OUR MISSION

To develop, sponsor, promote, and conduct fundraising and educational programs to involve the community in the history, restoration, and operation of the Old Courthouse. The Old Courthouse Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) organization created in 2005 by the Vanderburgh County Board of Commissioners to promote and oversee the restoration of the building. Members are appointed by the Vanderburgh County Board of Commissioners and the County Council and represent various areas of service in our community. Since its establishment, the Board has worked actively toward complete restoration of the building one room at a time.
