It’s field trip day for the Old Courthouse Foundation Board of Directors! Today our directors toured the building to prioritize future improvements and brush up on our history.

Kicking off day three of the Indiana Landmarks Preserving Historic Places Conference this morning.

When you have talent like we do inside the Old Courthouse there are endless new perspectives on this old building. This showstopper image courtesy of Tom Barrows who recently set up shop in suite 113. #downtownevansville

Our ballrooms are the former law library and probate courtroom. The former law library has seen a few restorations over the years, most recently in 2007. We are so excited to finally begin restoration on the old probate courtroom at the end of this year.

Tonight and tomorrow the tower lights will shine red white and blue for General Election Day on Tuesday November 6th. Taking this opportunity to re share one of our favorites- 📷Alex Morgan Imaging

OUR MISSION

To develop, sponsor, promote, and conduct fundraising and educational programs to involve the community in the history, restoration, and operation of the Old Courthouse. The Old Courthouse Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) organization created in 2005 by the Vanderburgh County Board of Commissioners to promote and oversee the restoration of the building. Members are appointed by the Vanderburgh County Board of Commissioners and the County Council and represent various areas of service in our community. Since its establishment, the Board has worked actively toward complete restoration of the building one room at a time.
